The upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty are two procedures that are commonly performed together. Often these procedures are performed in combination with a lower face and neck lift to rejuvenate the face. However, the upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty are great procedures to perform prior to a lower face and neck lift procedure. The upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty procedures can be performed with a relatively short recovery period and are often performed without friends and family being aware that any procedures were performed. In patients who are less open about facial rejuvenation procedures, I often recommend that patients perform the upper and lower blepharoplasty in one procedure and then several months later return to do their lower face and neck lift. This is one manner in which patients can be more discrete about having aesthetic procedures performed on their face. The photograph demonstrates before and after bilateral upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty surgery to give the eyelids a more well rested appearance.
