Body Contouring

Body contouring procedures are common procedures. Patients often request body contouring procedures after weight loss or occasionally after previous abdominal surgeries that produce tethered scars. The tethered scars often adhere to the underlying fascia and create creases or bulges. These creases or bulges can create abnormalities to the abdominal wall. After body contouring procedures, an abdominal binder is worn for approximately 6 weeks. Drains are kept in place to remove any fluid that may accumulate between the skin and the abdominal wall to remove any fluid.
