Mastopexy Augmentation is a common surgical procedure for patients who have had implants for over ten years. Patients who had implants placed many years ago many now want them replaced or may notice that their breast implants over time may have migrated too far laterally.
In these cases the breast implants need to be repositioned more centrally. In this scenario, either the pectoralis major muscle needs to be released more medially and/or the capsule surrounding the implant needs to be tightened laterally to create a smaller pocket. A T-lift allows the nipple areola complex and the breast implant to be repositioned to a higher point on the chest wall.
